💡 Why Did We Launch a Cleaning Service?

Every business has its running costs—contractors, tools, agencies, services—and over time, those costs only go one way: up. One of those expenses for us was cleaning, and although we had a great experience in the early days, things started to become inconsistent. The cleaner might arrive late—or not at all. Sometimes it would take one hour, other times three. Prices increased. Quality varied. Sound familiar?

So I started asking myself:

“What if we could turn this expense into a break-even—or better yet—a profitable business in its own right?”

And that was it. That simple mindset shift became the foundation of something much bigger.

🛠️ How Did We Build It?

We spent 3–6 months in planning mode. No rushing. We asked ourselves: What do we want from a cleaning service? What frustrated us as customers? What would we do differently? But we didn’t stop there—we also spoke to cleaners to understand their side of the story.

The insights were gold. We learned:

  • Cleaners work incredibly hard but are often undervalued.

  • Standards and quality varied massively between providers.

  • There was no systemisation, branding, or consistency.

So we flipped the script.

We dropped the word "cleaners" and embraced the term Systemise Housekeepers. Why? Because we wanted to elevate the industry. Think about a 5-star hotel experience or first-class travel. That same level of care, pride, and hospitality can absolutely be brought into homes and businesses—and that’s exactly what we set out to do.

We built:

  • Training systems & quality booklets to standardise excellence.

  • Brand identity to unify the team with purpose.

  • Signature touches (like stylish hoover patterns in rugs!) to make clients feel the wow factor.

Everything was rooted in professionalism, passion, and pride—from uniforms to Trustpilot reviews.
