Until my phone buzzed.

I pulled it out, barely paying attention, expecting another routine notification. But then I saw it.

"Your Amazon selling privileges have been removed"

My heart stopped.

At first, it didn’t seem real. I blinked, rereading the words, hoping I had misunderstood. But there it was, cold and unforgiving. Amazon—the very foundation of my business, the engine driving my team, my warehouse, my dreams—had just cut me off.

£3,000 - £4,000 Sales Per Day Down To ZERO. 

And to make it worse, I wasn’t at my laptop. I wasn’t in a clear state of mind—I’d had a few drinks. There was nothing I could do in that moment.

Reality hit like a freight train. Warehouse to support. Team to support. Family to support. 

For the first time, I faced the possibility of waking up to a business that no longer existed. Since 2015, there hadn’t been a single day where I didn’t make sales. Now, in an instant, everything had changed.

Waking Up to the Fight of My Life

The next morning, the shock was still there, but something was different. I wasn’t crushed. I wasn’t broken. I was ready.

I logged into my account and saw the full weight of the situation. Red flags everywhere. My selling privileges were gone. Amazon had flagged my account for selling a restricted product.

It was a mistake, a system error that had slipped through the net. But none of that mattered. Amazon makes the rules. My business existed in their ecosystem, and if I wanted to keep playing, I had to play by their rules.

So, I got to work:

• I took full responsibility.
• I apologised to Amazon.
• I created a detailed plan of action to ensure this would never happen again.

I didn’t just submit an appeal—I overhauled my entire business. I reviewed every product, updated my restricted product lists, reinforced my systems, and trained my team to never let this happen again.

And then, I waited. Amazon said it could take up to 30 DAYS! 

I got reinstated in 38 hours.

The Lesson I’ll Never Forget

This wasn’t just about getting my Amazon account back. This was about something bigger.
